Medical Outreach Ministries
Providing hope and healing to those who often go unnoticed, this nonprofit clinic is dedicated to offering free, quality healthcare to the uninsured and medically underserved in central Alabama. Unique in its holistic approach, the clinic seeks not only to address physical ailments but also to cater to the emotional and spiritual needs of their patients, living the mission of serving “neighbors in need” who fall through the cracks of the healthcare system.
The clinic leverages the expertise of volunteer medical professionals to deliver an array of services that include primary care, specialty care, mental health counseling, medications, and more. Notably, they provide Diabetes Self‑Management Education, ensuring patients can manage their health effectively. This work is largely fueled by community donations, with 100% of contributions going directly to patient care.
Situated in Montgomery with a focus on the surrounding counties, the clinic is a beacon of hope for many, evidenced by serving over 793 patients through 6,576 patient encounters last year alone. The robust team of over 80 volunteers, including 12 physicians, ensures everyone receives comprehensive care, embodying the spirit of generosity and community support.
Recent enhancements include celebrating extensive renovations, which not only improve patient facilities but also enrich the experience for interns seeking hands-on healthcare training. This commitment to service and education positions the clinic as a vital asset in the health and well-being of the region.
