How we source data
Where listing information comes from, how it is verified, and how to correct it.
Every clinic listing on Stem Cell Authority is compiled from identifiable sources. This page describes them in order of authority.
Public registries
Where a clinic or its practitioners appear in the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), we record the National Provider Identifier (NPI). An NPI confirms a provider's registry identity; it does not certify quality or endorse any treatment.
The clinic's own website
Service descriptions come from what the clinic itself publishes. We record these as advertised services — the clinic's marketing language, not our assessment. We do not copy content from third-party directories.
Public business data
Addresses, phone numbers, and hours may be cross-checked against public map and business-registry data. Geographic data (cities, ZIP codes, coordinates) comes from the U.S. Census Bureau's public-domain gazetteer files.
What we do with conflicts
When sources disagree, registry data outranks the clinic's website, which outranks third-party business data. Listings that cannot be reconciled are held back from publication rather than published with guesses.
Corrections and removals
Clinic owners and members of the public can report errors or request removal via the contact page. Removal requests are honored for listing owners and tracked so a removed listing is not resurrected by a later re-import.
